Congratulations, New Roadrunner!

Congratulations on your acceptance to Dalton State, and welcome to the Roadrunner Family! You’ve made an excellent decision and investment in your future. We’re excited to have you. On this page you will find all the information necessary to get started as a Roadrunner!

Beginning Freshman & Transfer Students

  1. Login to the Nest Portal to register for Orientation. You will receive your class schedule at Orientation.  (Note: Orientation dates for the upcoming semester are released 2-3 months before the semester begins.)
  2. Explore your options for financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
  3. Login to your Dalton State email account, Roadrunner Portal, and GeorgiaVIEW. You will find the links to these pages under “Log in” at the top of the website. Get your credentials if needed. Note, you must be accepted to get your login credentials.
  4. Complete your Residential Life application to live in our state-of-the-art residential hall!

Dual Enrollment Students

  1. Login to the Nest Portal to register for Orientation. You will receive your class schedule at Orientation. (Note: Orientation dates for the upcoming semester are released 2-3 months before the semester begins.)
  2. Login to your Dalton State email account, Roadrunner Portal, and GeorgiaVIEW. You will find the links to these pages under “Log in” at the top of the website. Get your credentials if needed. Note, you must be accepted to get your login credentials.
  3. Submit your Dual Enrollment funding application through this link.

Post-Baccalaureate & Transient Students

  1. Complete a schedule adjustment form to register for classes. You can find that form here. (Note: Orientation dates for the upcoming semester are released 2-3 months before the semester begins.)
  2. Explore your options for financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
  3. Login to your Dalton State email account, Roadrunner Portal, and GeorgiaVIEW. You will find the links to these pages under “Log in” at the top of the website. Get your credentials if needed. Note, you must be accepted to get your login credentials.
  4. Note: Post-Baccalaureate and Transient students do NOT have to complete an Orientation session.

Readmit Students

  1. Contact your advisor to get registered for classes. You can find your advisor by major here.
  2. Explore your options for financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
  3. Login to your Dalton State email account, Roadrunner Portal, and GeorgiaVIEW. You will find the links to these pages under “Log in” at the top of the website. Get your credentials if needed. Note, you must be accepted to get your login credentials.
  4. Students who have not attended Dalton State in three or more years will need to complete an Orientation session. If this applies to you then you will receive an email with the next steps to register.

International Students

  1. Once you have been accepted you will receive an email with steps on how to register for Orientation.
  2. Login to your Dalton State email account, Roadrunner Portal, and GeorgiaVIEW. You will find the links to these pages under “Log in” at the top of the website. Get your credentials if needed. Note, you must be accepted to get your login credentials.
